Writerly thought of the Day

So I'm editing Immortal Reveries, and I'm thinking about dialogue. I have a dictionary of Slang & Euphemism, and the term "come" for sexual release is dated at the 1800's (ish). Does it put you off or otherwise distract you to read more modern terms for anatomy and other sexual matters in historicals, or would you rather hear it in more plain speech?

I check out my Penguine Dictionary of Historical Slang.
Noted that the other c-word is very old...

"Give it to me straight, Doctor. I can take it!" Never mind me, Mistress of Euphomism... *sigh*
